Based on one of the first Longines diving watches, the Longines Super-Compressor launched in 1959, the Longines Legend Diver debuted in 2007 and was warmly received by many fans. The Legend Diver watch collection is now available in five new models with dials in sand beige, gray gray, royal blue and vivid burgundy www.aomwatches.is.
In addition to the classic 42mm models, Longines has added three 36mm models that will appeal to both ladies and gents. Each new timepiece features a box-shaped sapphire crystal, two screw-down crowns and a screw-down caseback to ensure water resistance up to a pressure of 30 ATM (approximately 300 meters/1,000 feet).
Their shaded dials feature luminescent hands, hour markers are embellished with luminescent squares and Arabic numerals, and Super-LumiNova rectangles enhance legibility. The bi-directional internal rotating dive bezel is started and stopped by the crown at 2 o'clock, allowing the wearer to determine the remaining dive time.
Solid case back with embossed diver's logo protecting the preferred self-winding mechanical movement: Caliber L888.5 (ETA A31.L11) 25,200 vibrations per hour, 42mm power reserve for 72-hour models and 4 Hz (28,800 vph) Caliber L592.5 (ETA A20.L11) offers 42 hours of autonomy for the 36 mm version. Both movements are equipped with silicon hairsprings to improve precision and resistance to magnetic fields.
